Cuisine

Our full-board guests will enjoy superb Austrian & International meals of the highest quality, in which lunch offers a 4-course — choice menu and evenings from an exquisite 5-course dinner menu, with an opportunity to select tastings. Exceptional dining deserves an excellent glass of wine. Our experienced Sommelier is gladly able to assist in the demanding task of choosing a suitable wine match from over 300 wine positions.

 
 

The Bar

The hotel’s center of communication, where old friendships rekindle and new acquaintances are made. Afternoon conversions usually carry on by exchanging tales of a day on the slopes or planning the next ski adventure. In the evening cocktails are enjoyed and accent the mood to prepare for dining, following with a night cap among friends in front of the open fireplace.

Wine

The “First Austrian Sommelier Club” was founded at the Sporthotel Lorünser in February 1982. The founding members were the Hospiz-Hotel in St. Christoph, the Hotel Gastof Post in Lech and the Sporthotel Lorünser in Zürs. Today there are 19 hotels and restaurants throughout Austria belonging to the club. An ensemble of resturant owners, gastronoms and sommeliers are club members as well. Our goals are to create a higher knowledge and understanding of the wine culture in the gastronomic and hotel industries, thus enlighten a higher awareness in dining culture. Making frequent wine tours, attending seminars, which are held regionally, as well as, internationally enabling our members to consistently grow their knowledge and maintain a keen sense of the world's best wines status.
